9.55pm. The PictureHouse. Retracing The Long March route with the filming team. Main cast: Elly.
Saturday went to catch a movie with xf at The Cathay and we watched Feet Unbound, a documentary movie in the Picturehouse. I like this movie alot as it was really touching, and was so detailed that it actually brought us back to that Long March period. They had interviews with the few of the Western Route Army survivors; female in their 80/90s now. Through the recounts of the scene, we could eventually sense their bravery, courage and determination in surviving the ordueous tragedy. Their life were really bad. They did not have enough food, shelters, first aids and weapons to fight the war. However, they had to take the orders, and conquer the mountains & yellow river. Back and fro, back and fro, with just a pair of straw slippers, they covered more than 10,000km on foot. For more details of the movie, please visit their website stated above.
